He served in the United States Air Force from 1947 to 1950. He was born Januto the late Bert and Lucille (Brunette) Compton in Green Bay. Compton, Sr., 79, Green Bay, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, after a long courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side.
